where did the day go?

top 8 categories, everything else lumped. percentages out of the full 24h (1440 min) — sleep is over half. each of the 144 entries took ~20s to write, which gets subtracted from whatever was being interrupted and added to log — so "log" rolls up into being its own slice now.

the full 24 hours, sized proportionally. hover any block to see what it was. the big lavender bands on either end are overnight sleep; the smaller one mid-afternoon is a 1h 30m nap.

things that jumped out

clash of clans is the connective tissue. it shows up 11 times — in bed, on the toilet, between meals, after failing to study, last thing before sleep. it's not an activity so much as a default state she returns to.
2 hours of window-staring. 09:48–10:21, 12:34–13:00, 15:36–15:58 (curled up after failing to study), 20:16–20:47. a quarter of her afternoon was just… looking out.
she was a caretaker too. made her brother's breakfast (waffles + beans + tea), fed him "like a child" at 11:16, cleaned up after him. ~40 min of the morning was looking after him — rolled into "food" in the pie, but worth naming.
the letter project was the real work. 85 minutes of focused crafting — writing something, scavenging a magnet out of an iPad case, gluing it in, taking pictures. longest sustained attention of the whole day, by a lot.
23 minutes of "studying" in a 12.5 hour window. attempt 1: 1 min, abandoned. attempt 2: 11 min of pretending when mum walked in. attempt 3: 11 min of actual study. this is the shape of executive dysfunction in a log.
social contact was ~11 minutes. saying hi to the babysitter (1 min), trying to whatsapp someone (7 min), and consulting random.org for a yes/no on whether to say something. she did not say it.
photographed everything. the waffles. the yoghurt. a block in the window. the window itself. the pizza. the finished letter (twice). the lasagna. the bread roll. documenting a day nobody asked her to document.
multitasking on the toilet. 10:22 start pooping · 10:27 send an email to digiweb · 10:30 play clash of clans for 12 min · 10:42 finish pooping, wash hands. efficient.
evening skin routine was methodical. took a whole shower, then later: pill → brush teeth → shave → wash face → read the defferin leaflet for 4 minutes → apply. teen acne treatment taken seriously.
