# International community testing services — 2026-04-23

**Phase:** ad-hoc international-coverage search (supplement to `01-existing-services/overview.md`)
**Last updated:** 2026-04-23
**Scope:** community drug/HRT testing services and DIY-lab infrastructure in non-Anglo regions (Brazil, Argentina, Latin America, Mexico, Russia/post-Soviet, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Australia/NZ, France, South Africa). Complements the US/UK/Ireland-centric corpus.
**Confidence framework:** C1 (primary source, live) / C2 (primary source, dated but plausible) / C3 (community/self-described, not independently verified) / C4 (inferred from adjacent sources) / C5 (claim unverifiable on this pass).

## Headline findings (what was found, what wasn't)

- **Two drug-checking services in German-speaking Switzerland + Austria + Netherlands have extended their infrastructure to anabolic-androgenic steroids.** The Zürich DIZ / SaferParty pilot (Aug 2023–present) is the most developed: GC–MS, free, anonymous, 71 samples in pilot phase, 52% counterfeit/substandard findings. **None of the three accepts HRT oils from trans DIY users as an explicit intake category** — they are AAS-focused.
- **No dedicated community HRT testing lab was identified in any of the 11 non-Anglo regions.** The Irish/Scottish Trans Harm Reduction and US Artemis Analytical remain the only HRT-dedicated mutual-aid labs globally.
- **Brazil has a large, notable trans DIY vendor (Otokonoko Pharmaceuticals)** but no community *testing* infrastructure — Otokonoko's products have instead been tested by Ireland/Scotland's Trans Harm Reduction via GC-MS.
- **Latin America (Argentina, Mexico):** state-funded HRT access is good enough that community testing has not emerged as a felt need. No community testing services found.
- **Russia, Japan, France, South Africa, Poland:** active DIY communities exist but no community HRT testing service identified; users route samples through Janoshik (CZ) or THR (IE/UK).
- **Australia/NZ:** explicit statement from PED Test Australia that "no services in Australia or New Zealand are able to analyse oil-based steroids" — the only route is shipping to Janoshik overseas.

## Findings by region

### Brazil

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

Brazil has a large trans + travesti DIY HRT community and one of the most notable non-US/UK homebrew vendors globally — **Otokonoko Pharmaceuticals** (otkph.am, run by "Lilian," a trans woman in Brazil; ships internationally; accepts crypto; operating since mid-2020). But Otokonoko is a vendor, not a testing lab. Its products are tested by Ireland/Scotland's **Trans Harm Reduction** using GC-MS (multiple batches tested; results all clear — detected only benzyl benzoate, oil components, and estradiols as expected).

**Claim:** Otokonoko Pharmaceuticals is a Brazilian homebrewer operating since mid-2020; Trans Harm Reduction (Ireland/Scotland) has GC-MS-tested multiple batches with all-clear results.
- **Confidence:** C2
- **Source:** https://diyhrt.wiki/transfem ; https://transharmreduction.org/hrt-testing ; https://hrtcafe.net/otkph.html
- **Date checked:** 2026-04-23
- **Notes:** Testing happens in Ireland/Scotland, not in Brazil. No Brazil-based community lab identified.

**Harm-reduction research context in Brazil:** Portuguese-language peer-reviewed work on "redução de danos" (harm reduction) for trans and travesti populations focuses on substance use and healthcare access (CAPS-AD Rio de Janeiro work; SciELO studies). Brazilian harm reduction infrastructure does not extend to DIY HRT purity testing. Academic work describes informal knowledge-sharing between travestis ("advice generally provided by other travestis") as the main harm-reduction mechanism, not a lab.

### Argentina + Latin America

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

Argentina's **Ley de Identidad de Género (Law 26.743, 2012)** and Resolution 3159/2019 mandate 100% public-health coverage for gender-affirming HRT (estradiol gel, estradiol valerate, spironolactone, cyproterone acetate, testosterone gel, testosterone undecanoate, triptorelin) through the state medical program. IOMA (Buenos Aires province) runs an Integral Trans Health Program. Blood-level monitoring is part of the standard protocol (LH, FSH, estradiol, testosterone, prolactin every 6–12 months).

The combination of (a) pharmaceutical-grade HRT being free at the point of care and (b) an informed-consent model means DIY is much less widespread than in US/UK/DE, and no *purity* testing infrastructure has developed to match. This is a structural finding, not a gap in searching.

**Claim:** Argentina's Ley de Identidad de Género + Res. 3159/2019 provides 100% state coverage for gender-affirming HRT, reducing the pressure that drives community purity testing elsewhere.

Regional HR orgs that **do not** do HRT purity testing despite being adjacent:
- **Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD) / Energy Control** — Barcelona, Spanish-speaking recreational-drug service; explicitly does not test hormones/steroids/anabolics (confirmed 2026-04-23 search of energycontrol.org). See Spain section.
- **ASUMOR, REDUMI** — not located in this search; no evidence of HRT purity testing.

### Mexico

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

Mexican harm-reduction literature (Yaaj A.C. "Sexualidades químicas" podcast/interview series) describes an extensive HRT gray market — hormones are legally OTC at pharmacies, there is a parallel black market in Jalisco ("not specifically targeting trans populations but selling hormones"), and trans women routinely self-medicate from adolescence with advice passed peer-to-peer. The gray market runs on pharmacy product — brand-name Schering/Bayer estradiol, injectable testosterone — so purity anxiety is lower than in UGL-dominant markets. Veterinary-grade hormones are also used.

Reported laboratory *blood-panel* hormone-level testing costs: **MXN 300–400 (~USD 15–20) private**, plus ~MXN 400 for ultrasound. This is a blood panel, not a product purity test.

Clínica Trans (Centro de Servicios SER, Mexico City) publishes a recommended-lab list at clinicatrans.org.mx/laboratorios but these are clinical blood-test providers, not product-purity analytics.

**Claim:** In Mexico, HRT is sold OTC at pharmacies without prescription and private clinical blood panels cost ~MXN 300–400 (~USD 15–20).
- **Confidence:** C2 (pharmacy OTC access widely reported; exact price only in one source)

### Russia + post-Soviet states

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

Legal context: Russia's 2023 anti-trans law bans medical gender transition, driving the community fully underground. State polyclinics commonly refuse to prescribe; in one cited study 53.6% of trans patients were already on self-sourced HRT when first presenting to a doctor, and only 8.6% had consulted an endocrinologist. Self-medication with "testosterone ester mixtures online in 10 ml vials, reused for multiple injections without concern for storage" is documented in the Russian medical literature.

No Russian-language community HRT testing service was identified. Clinical blood-level testing is available through the major commercial labs (CMD, Invitro, Хеликс/Helix, Гемотест/Gemotest, KDL) at ~400–800 rubles per hormone. No community-run product-purity service surfaced in Russian-language search, neither through VK-indexed pages nor Telegram directories.

Russian-speaking trans users appear to rely on:
- **Alma-TQ** (alma-tq.org) — Russian-language HRT education resource, does not do purity testing
- **T-Action / Выход (Coming Out SPB)** — advocacy/health referral orgs, no lab
- **Telegram vendor-review channels** — e.g. Steroidify (unrelated AAS channel) — which discuss vendor reputation rather than independent lab results

Product-purity testing by individuals is done by shipping to Janoshik (CZ) or other CIS-friendly analytical labs; no Russian-domestic community lab replicates this. Customs risk inside Russia is substantial given the legal climate.

**Claim:** No Russian-domestic community HRT purity testing service identified in Russian-language search as of 2026-04-23.
- **Confidence:** C3 (negative finding from deliberate search; cannot prove absence of hidden channels)
- **Source:** searches across ru.wikipedia.org, alma-tq.org, transcoalition.net, comingoutspb.org
- **Date checked:** 2026-04-23
- **Notes:** A hidden/invitation-only Telegram channel could exist; search was surface-web only. The public-facing community-health infrastructure has no product-purity service.

### Germany

**No dedicated community HRT testing service identified. Adjacent AAS/drug-checking infrastructure exists (Eve&Rave, drugchecking.berlin) but does not test hormones.**

The 2024 taz article *"Manifest für DIY-Hormontherapie: Lasst uns Hormone tauschen!"* explicitly references DIY practices that include "private laboratories with self-organized quality control" — *"Unser Weg führt bis hin zum privaten Labor, inklusive selbst organisierter Qualitätskontrolle und Bluttests"* ("Our path leads to private laboratories, including self-organized quality control and blood tests") — but names no specific lab or service. This appears to be aspirational language about community practice in general, not a pointer to a real operational German service.

**Drug-checking infrastructure that does NOT accept HRT/hormones:**
- **drugchecking.berlin** — Berlin state-funded since 2023; three drop-in test locations; focuses on MDMA/cocaine/amphetamine/ketamine. No hormone intake.
- **Eve&Rave Berlin** — pioneering mobile drug-checking since 1995; now largely an archive; legal struggles 1995–1997 shaped German drug-checking law.
- **Eve&Rave Münster e.V.** — founded 1996, registered 2003; runs info/education; no public drug-checking in Münster itself.
- **rAuszeit (Hannover)** — runs DIY-HRT educational lectures but does not test samples.

**German trans-community infrastructure that does NOT do product-purity testing:**
- **TransInterQueer e.V.** — publishes HRT brochures (German + Russian); no lab.
- **TransMann e.V.** — resource site; no lab.
- **VDGE (Verband des Deutschen Gesundheits-e.V.)** — clinician-facing; no lab.

**Claim:** German state-funded drug-checking (drugchecking.berlin, launched 2023) does not accept HRT samples; the only documented public community discussion of "private laboratories" in the DIY-HRT context is aspirational in the taz op-ed and names no service.

### Netherlands

**No dedicated community HRT testing service. Two adjacent services:**

1. **DIMS (Drug Information and Monitoring System)** — state-funded via Trimbos Institute; 33 drug-checking locations nationwide; since 1992. DIMS is focused on recreational drugs and does not advertise an HRT/hormone intake path. Jellinek (Amsterdam addiction-care org) operates as one of the DIMS testing service locations. No public evidence that trans HRT users route samples through DIMS.

2. **Anabolenpoli (AAS outpatient clinic, Spaarne Gasthuis, Haarlem)** — the world's only dedicated AAS harm-reduction clinic, founded 2011 by Dr Pim de Ronde. Patients provide AAS samples for analysis using **UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS** as part of clinical research (HAARLEM study, HARNAS trial). Covered by Dutch health insurance with a GP or specialist referral. **Study finding: "The quality of the AAS used is strikingly low"** — meaning adulteration/mislabeling is common. This is a clinical research program, not an on-demand community testing service, but it is the closest thing to a formal HRT-adjacent testing pathway in the Netherlands.

The **hrt.fm** directory references "a homebrew team based in the Netherlands and Germany" as a supplier source (no name published publicly; covered in the US/UK research corpus under anonymous EU homebrewers).

**Claim:** Anabolenpoli in Haarlem (est. 2011) tests anabolic-steroid samples using UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS for enrolled patients; covered by Dutch health insurance with a referral. Does not accept HRT/estradiol as a routine intake class.

### Spain

**No community HRT testing service. Energy Control explicitly excludes hormones.**

**Energy Control** (Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo / ABD), based in Barcelona since 1997, is Spain's primary harm-reduction drug-checking service. The existing corpus (`01-existing-services/overview.md`) cites €60 qualitative / €120 quantitative by mail-in. **Confirmation from this search pass (2026-04-23):** Energy Control **explicitly does not perform analysis of hormones, steroids, or anabolics** across all their analysis centers. This is a hard-scope boundary, not an oversight.

No sibling Spanish-language HRT-purity service was identified. Public trans-health work in Spain routes through the state medical system (Sistema Nacional de Salud) and regional autonomous-community gender-affirming clinics.

**Claim:** Energy Control (ABD, Barcelona + international) does not accept hormones, steroids, or anabolics for analysis.

### Switzerland — positive finding (add to main corpus)

**Zürich DIZ / SaferParty — anabolic-androgenic-steroid drug-checking pilot, launched August 2023.** GC-MS-based; free; anonymous; in-person drop-off at the Drug Information Centre (Department of Social Welfare, City of Zurich); formally continued for three years past pilot per 2025 evaluation paper.

Details from the Harm Reduction Journal pilot-evaluation paper (2025, Schori et al.):
- **Operator:** Drug Information Centre (DIZ) Zürich, under Zürich Department of Social Welfare, with SaferParty.ch as the client-facing brand
- **Launch date:** August 2023
- **Methods:** GC-MS (specific instrument model not disclosed)
- **Accepted forms:** pills and injectables only; other galenic forms (gels, transdermal) rejected; samples without label information rejected
- **Substances accepted:** anabolic androgenic steroids (testosterone esters, boldenone, nandrolone, trenbolone, oxandrolone) + β-sympathomimetics (clenbuterol)
- **Substances NOT accepted:** no mention of estradiol, HRT for trans use, or peptides; the scope is explicitly AAS + adjacent PEDs
- **Pricing:** free
- **Anonymity:** yes, anonymous with sample code
- **Pilot sample volume:** 71 samples from 52 clients
- **Headline finding:** 52% of user-provided AAS samples were fake — 25% counterfeit, 27% substandard quality
- **Status as of 2026:** continued past pilot with ongoing monitoring

This is the single strongest positive international finding in this search pass. It is the first state-run drug-checking service anywhere to accept AAS as a formal intake class. It does not accept HRT oils intended for gender-affirming use as a distinct category, but a trans woman shipping a vial of testosterone enanthate from a UGL vendor would in principle be within scope.

**Claim:** Zürich DIZ/SaferParty accepted 71 AAS samples from 52 clients by GC-MS, anonymous and free, with 52% fake/substandard finding in the Aug 2023 pilot.
- **Confidence:** C1
- **Source:** https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12147309/ (Schori et al., *Harm Reduction Journal* 2025)

**Austrian sibling — checkit! Vienna:** lists anabolic steroids as a substance info page, but the drug-checking-intake page excludes "anabolic steroids, steroids, supplements" from mail-in intake. Samples sent by mail are destroyed. The drug-checking service is in-person only at two Vienna counseling centers, three pharmacies, and at events. **Effective scope: recreational drugs, not AAS/HRT** (despite the substance info page). Status as of 2026-04-23: AAS not accepted.

**Claim:** checkit! Vienna does not accept anabolic steroids, hormones, or peptides for testing; drug-checking is in-person only; mail samples are destroyed for legal reasons.

### Japan

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

Japanese-language search (keywords in kana and kanji: ホルモン補充療法, 純度検査, 個人輸入, トランス) returns primarily:
- Clinic-based self-injection services (e.g. Ebisu TG Clinic, Shinjuku Women's Clinic) — these prescribe, they don't test third-party product
- Personal-import intermediary pharmacies (Osakadou, Saprikan) — these sell, they don't test
- Government/clinician warnings against personal-import HRT: MHLW research grants flag that personally-imported natural hormones "cannot be guaranteed to contain the stated ingredients or to be free from impurities," and cases of counterfeit HRT from personal-import have been documented clinically — but no community lab has emerged to address this
- 2chan/5chan threads are not indexed by general web search and were not surfaced in this pass

**Claim:** Japanese-language web search surfaces clinic-based HRT prescribing and personal-import warnings but no community product-purity testing service.
- **Confidence:** C3 (negative finding; surface-web only; 5chan threads not searched)

### Australia / New Zealand

**No community HRT testing service identified. Explicit industry statement that no AU/NZ service can analyse oil-based steroids.**

From **PED Test Australia** (community harm-reduction project, run by strength-sports members for strength-sports users): "All drug testing locations in Australia and New Zealand can analyse pills, capsules and raw concentrates, but there are currently no services in Australia or New Zealand able to analyse oil-based steroids. The only option for these types of drugs is to send a sample to an overseas laboratory for paid analysis." The overseas lab that PED Test Australia routes AU users to is **Janoshik (Prague)**, shipped via FedEx/UPS with customs-inclusive courier options.

**Claim:** As of 2026-04-23 there is no domestic AU/NZ lab offering analysis of oil-based steroids or HRT; users ship to Janoshik (CZ).

**AusPATH** publishes clinician-oriented HRT guidelines (Australian Informed Consent Standards of Care; target estradiol 250–600 pmol/L or 250–1000 pmol/L per newer revision) but does not run testing. **TransHub** is an info portal, not a lab. **Know Your Stuff NZ** is NZ's main drug-checking provider (legal since 2020; FTIR + reagent kits; clinics in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin) — pills and concentrates only, no oil-based steroids, no HRT. **High Alert** is the NZ warning system for dangerous drug batches.

**New Zealand blood-test self-order:** pathlab.co.nz/patient-requested/ — blood-level testing only, not product purity.

**Reference academic study (AU):** Phase 2 pilot of AAS testing trial in Australia (Larance, Bruno et al., 2024) — "*The world's first anabolic-androgenic steroid testing trial*" (PubMed 39911049). ### France

**No community HRT testing service. French community relies on Ireland/Scotland's Trans Harm Reduction.**

The French-language DIY-HRT FAQ (Biyokea, hackmd.io) explicitly names **Trans Harm Reduction** as the testing resource: *"Le collectif Trans Harm Reduction organise des tests en laboratoires de sources populaires de THS homebrewed, dont vous pouvez retrouver les résultats ici"* (The Trans Harm Reduction collective organises laboratory testing of popular homebrewed HRT sources; results are available there). Direct link: transharmreduction.org/hrt-testing.

For blood-level (not purity) testing without prescription, French DIY users submit directly to medical laboratories at their own cost: ~€30–45 for testosterone + estradiol combined. Wiki Trans and Trans Posée⋅e⋅s publish French-language reference hormone-level tables.

**No French-based community lab offering HRT product-purity testing was identified.** French harm-reduction orgs focus on recreational drugs (SAFE, ASUD) or trans healthcare advocacy (OUTrans, SOS Homophobie, Wiki Trans) — neither extends to product-purity analytics.

Pharmacology literature (Lerebours, DUMAS thesis 2024) documents that **20% of trans women in a French sample use injectable estradiol solutions purchased online and self-administered**, confirming the user base exists even though the testing infrastructure does not.

**Claim:** French DIY community relies on Ireland/Scotland's Trans Harm Reduction for HRT purity testing; no France-based community lab identified.

### South Africa

**No community HRT testing service identified.**

South Africa has documented trans DIY-HRT use and published the 2021 **Southern African HIV Clinicians' Society gender-affirming healthcare guideline** (covering feminising hormone therapy options for the region). Research shows trans people receiving formal HRT in South Africa are 3× more likely to be virally suppressed (aidsmap 2023), suggesting integration of gender-affirming and HIV care is the policy priority — not community product-purity testing.

**Organisations referenced in task prompt:**
- **Access Chapter 2** (accesschapter2.org) — Pretoria-based LGBT+ legal/advocacy NGO; no lab.
- **Triangle Project** (Cape Town) — LGBT+ health advocacy, clinical service navigation; no lab.

No product-purity testing service surfaced. South African DIY users appear to rely on pharmacy sourcing (HRT is prescription-only but obtainable) supplemented by informal peer networks; no community lab identified.

**Claim:** No South Africa-based community HRT product-purity testing service identified in 2026-04-23 search; community care integrates with HIV services via Southern African HIV Clinicians' Society guidelines.

### Bonus — Finland (not on task list but adjacent)

**Dopinglinkki** (dopinglinkki.fi) — Finnish national harm-reduction information service for AAS and PED users, operated with public funding. Provides safer-injection guidance, free needle and syringe exchange, health-professional advisories. **Does not offer product-purity lab testing** — it is an information and syringe-exchange service.

This is listed for completeness as a model of state-recognised AAS harm reduction without a testing component.

## Cross-cutting observations

### 1. Community HRT purity testing infrastructure is almost entirely concentrated in Ireland/Scotland + the US

Globally, four operations do community HRT product-purity testing:
- **Trans Harm Reduction** (Ireland/Scotland, GC-MS via an unnamed EU commercial lab, donation-funded, €300/sample)
- **Artemis Analytical** (US, HPLC, opaque ops)
- **testing.trans.diy** (US aggregator of the above two)
- **Janoshik Analytical** (Czech Republic, commercial, HPLC/LC-MS/MS/GC-MS, global mail-in, $120–300)

Every other country/region either routes through Janoshik or does without.

### 2. AAS testing is more internationalised than HRT testing

State or quasi-state harm-reduction drug-checking has extended to anabolic-androgenic steroids in:
- **Switzerland** (Zürich DIZ/SaferParty, since Aug 2023; GC-MS; free)
- **Netherlands** (Anabolenpoli Haarlem, since 2011; UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS; insurance-covered; clinical research context)
- **Australia** (PED Test Australia home kits + Larance/Bruno 2024 pilot trial; no state program yet)

None of these explicitly accept HRT oils from trans users, but the technical capability is present — testosterone enanthate in grapeseed oil is chemically indistinguishable from the same vial sent by a bodybuilder. A policy/framing shift could extend these services to HRT at minimal marginal cost. This is the highest-leverage advocacy angle for extending non-US/UK community testing.

### 3. State-funded HRT access correlates inversely with DIY testing demand

Where HRT is reliably state-covered (Argentina, urban Brazil/SUS, Spain, Netherlands, Germany via SHI in principle), the DIY market is smaller and community product-testing has not emerged as a felt need. Where HRT access is harder (US, UK waiting lists, Russia, Poland, Japan), DIY is more common and either (a) community testing has emerged locally (US, UK/IE) or (b) users ship internationally to Janoshik/THR. No DIY testing lab has emerged inside a country whose state healthcare system reliably provides HRT — this is a consistent pattern across the 11 regions surveyed.

### 4. Drug-checking precedent is necessary but not sufficient

Germany (Eve&Rave), Spain (Energy Control), Netherlands (DIMS), Austria (checkit!), Switzerland (SaferParty), NZ (KnowYourStuff) all have strong state-recognised drug-checking infrastructure for recreational substances. Only two have extended to AAS (Zürich, Haarlem). None has extended to HRT. Having the legal framework and the instruments is a necessary precondition but not enough on its own — someone has to advocate specifically for trans-community inclusion in scope.

### 5. Vendor accountability ≠ product testing

Multiple non-Anglo trans communities maintain vendor-review infrastructure — Telegram channels (Russia), Reddit r/transbr (Brazil), DIY-HRT directories with review aggregation (diyhrt.wiki, diyhrt.market, hrt.fm, hrtcafe.net) — but these track reputation and user reports, not independently verified lab results. The single globally-accessible independent-blind-testing pathway cited across all regions is **hrt.fm blind-testing via Janoshik** (hrt.fm buys samples under cover and submits them; vendors cannot self-submit).

### 6. Customs is the limiting logistics constraint for international community testing

For users in Russia (legally hostile), Japan (strict imports), Australia/NZ (geographic), Brazil (customs variability), and Argentina (economic/logistic), shipping a 1 mL oil vial to Janoshik is non-trivial. FedEx/UPS courier-inclusive customs options reduce but don't eliminate this. Regional labs with matching technical capability would be a structural improvement — the Swiss and Dutch AAS programs demonstrate the equipment and methods are widely available; the gap is specifically in community-facing HRT intake policy.

## Recommended cross-links

The following existing research files should be updated to incorporate these findings:

1. **`research/01-existing-services/overview.md`** — add a subsection "International AAS drug-checking services adjacent to HRT" covering Zürich DIZ/SaferParty (Switzerland, since 2023) and Anabolenpoli Haarlem (Netherlands, since 2011). Sharpen the Energy Control entry to note the explicit hormone/steroid/anabolic exclusion.

2. **`research/01-existing-services/other-community-labs.md`** — add entries for:
   - Zürich DIZ / SaferParty AAS drug-checking (Switzerland, GC-MS, free, since Aug 2023)
   - Anabolenpoli, Spaarne Gasthuis Haarlem (Netherlands, UPLC-QTOF-MS/MS, insurance-covered, since 2011)
   - Otokonoko Pharmaceuticals (Brazil, as homebrew vendor whose product flows through THR — this sharpens the global supply-side map)

3. **`research/01-existing-services/submission-workflow.md`** — add "International submission constraints" subsection covering the Janoshik routing pattern for Japan/AU/NZ/Russia/Brazil/Argentina users, with customs risk notes.

4. **`research/summary.md`** — update the Q1 global picture: testing.trans.diy + Artemis + THR + Janoshik are not just the dominant community HRT labs, they are essentially *the only* community HRT labs globally. The Swiss and Dutch AAS programs are the most plausible extension vectors for non-Anglo HRT testing but currently do not serve trans DIY users.

5. **`research/10-cost-benefit/outsource-cost-table.md`** — add pricing rows for Zürich DIZ (free, AAS only, in-person Zurich), Anabolenpoli (insurance-covered, AAS only, Haarlem + referral required), as the non-US/UK external comparators currently missing.

6. **`research/07-regulatory-legal/jurisdictions.md`** — note the structural finding that state-funded HRT access inversely correlates with DIY-testing demand; use Argentina (Ley de Identidad de Género) and the Swiss Drug Information Centre's legal framing as positive-case references for advocacy.

7. **`research/gaps.md`** — add: "No community HRT purity testing service exists in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand as of 2026-04-23, despite DIY HRT use being documented in all of them. The Irish/Scottish THR lab and US Artemis are load-bearing for the entire non-US/UK global DIY community, or users ship to Janoshik (Prague)."

## What this pass did not reach

- **Closed / invitation-only Telegram channels** (Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese) — likely contain community coordination for sample routing but not searchable surface-web.
- **5chan threads** (Japan) — not indexed by conventional web search; would require targeted crawling.
- **Mandarin-language China/Taiwan/HK DIY scene** — task scope did not request this region but it is a documented source country for HRT vendors (Hong Kong-based online pharmacy cited on DIY-HRT directories as running 20+ years) and merits a future pass.
- **Polish / Czech / Hungarian trans communities** — targeted search for Poland returned nothing; Czech Republic is already covered by Janoshik being based there.
- **North African / MENA** — not in task scope.
